i was scared to death to make the leap to commit to the ride- but turned out to be the best decision of my life.
Oh yeah- you will enjoy a new bike- they are MUCH more user friendly in a million ways these days. If you get disc brakes be careful the first few times on major descents - so much more sensitive then what i'm used to. Final advice- make sure you test a few saddles - last thing you want to save bucks on. And don't worry much about the weight of the various components-generally way overblown for all but the professionals that are racing.
